We had gotten off to slow starts in the last couple of games, so our goal was to start strong, and despite missing four regulars to various injuries/illnesses, we obviously accomplished that goal. The boys who had to step into those positions did so admirably. A word has to go out to our defense and goaltending, who earned their second straight shutout. They force our own offense to play at their highest level every day in practice. Hamden Hall proved, as always, to be hard working and gracious. Our boys finished the game with the utmost respect for them. |
